There is an outdoor entertaining and al fresco dining terrace with bbq and pizza oven set against the mountain backdrop. Relax after a hard day exploring in the indoor tropical spa room under the bubbles of the 6-person hot tub/jacuzzi and twinkling fairy lights. It's truly magical. Cosy up around the outdoor fireplace and stargaze the Moogerah night skies. You may well see the Milky Way like you've never seen before. Moogie House has full laundry facilities with washer and dryer (and complimentary powder). The house is equipped with fans and/or reverse cycle air conditioners in all rooms. Well equipped kitchen with Miele appliances, dishwasher, oven and coffee machine. With free WIFI, Smart TV and streaming services for your entertainment, books and boardgames to complete the getaway.
Watch the stunning daily sunsets over the mountain ranges perhaps with a drink taken on the front balcony in the comfort of the outdoor lounge area. The back balcony overlooking the lush gardens is the best spot to enjoy a morning cuppa in the sunshine.
At Moogie House dogs are most welcome! **Please advise at time of booking**. As the property is un-fenced, they will need to be supervised at all times.
There is plenty of space for kids to run around and explore the entire property. You may see some local wildlife - the wedge tailed eagles, green tree frogs, hares and the rather timid local wallabies and roos, or even be lucky enough to sight one of our resident koalas!
Attending a wedding in the locality at one of the Scenic Rim's top venues? No problem, Moogie House makes for ideal guest accommodation, accommodating up to 3 couples. We can even provide transfers to/from the wedding venue for you! (just ask how you can pre-book).
Moogie House may not be suitable for safety reasons, for those with infants and toddlers due to stairs, balconies and unfenced gardens. As we do not provide any amenities for babies and toddlers you would need to bring your own.

Moogie House is on tank water and septic please be aware of your environment and be waterwise. We use septic safe cleaning products.
Being located on a bush property please respect the native wildlife that lives here too. On the property there are also seasonal creeks and a waterfall that may flow at times. Please supervise young children at all times.
Guests may come across pets and experience a little "animal loving" during their stay. 2 very friendly labradoodles, Muttley and Pipi, live on the property at our house a short distance away. They may call by to say hello.
Moogerah is in the Fassifern Valley, close to the townships of Kalbar and Boonah.
Beaudesert and Ipswich are only a short distance away providing a wider range of shops and services.
The beautiful blue waters of the expansive Lake Moogerah are popular for recreational boating, water-skiing and jet-skiing. There is access to the water around the lake, including designated swimming areas and parklands with barbeques. Boating is open to anyone, but a permit is required for fishing.
Haigh Park is situated a few hundred metres down the round from Moogie House, with public barbecues and picnic areas, as well as a café. Dogs are allowed on leashes. At Haigh Park, you can walk across the Dam Wall – keep an eye out for turtles below. The hiking trail up Mt Edward in Moogerah Peaks National Park starts from the far side of the wall too.
Best to explore by car or bike - some great drives around the Scenic Rim. Check out the Scenic Rim Drives Brochure at the house. With so many national parks on the doorsteps lots of hikes and trails available too.
We have lots of tourist info available for guests at the house to look at. Otherwise, we are happy to pass on any recommendations.
Only a drive away! Moogie House is located inland from both the Gold Coast and Brisbane. Being about 40mins drive to Ipswich and just over an hour to the hustle and bustle of Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
